504 practice questions for the CMSRN exam, the medical-surgical nursing certification from MSNCB, built on the CMSRN Exam Blueprint in use since May 15, 2023. They follow its 5 domains, weighted the way the real exam is: Patient/Care Management (32%), Nursing Teamwork and Collaboration (21%), Elements of Interprofessional Care (17%), Holistic Patient Care (15%) and Professional Concepts (15%), and cover every one of its 132 listed activities. Most are med-surg floor cases: the post-op patient who is suddenly short of breath, the PCA that is too much, the potassium that cannot be pushed, the family who wants something else, and what the nurse should do FIRST, delegate or question. Each is tagged to its blueprint code, so your score report shows exactly which topics you miss, and every answer explains why the best choice is best, gives a line to remember and names its public source.
The real test: 150 multiple-choice questions (125 scored, 25 unscored pilot questions) in 3 hours, at a Pearson VUE test center or online with remote proctoring. Raw scores are converted to a 0 to 120 scale and 95 passes, which MSNCB says is about 71% correct. Since May 15, 2023 it follows a 5-domain blueprint: Patient/Care Management 32%, Nursing Teamwork and Collaboration 21%, Elements of Interprofessional Care 17%, Holistic Patient Care 15% and Professional Concepts 15%. Our practice test is full length, 125 scored questions plus 25 unscored, split by the 5 domains like the blueprint, passing at 89 of 125 (71%).
