500 practice questions for the nurse aide (CNA) written test, built on the content outline of the National Nurse Aide Assessment Program (NNAAP), the written exam many states give. They follow its 9 weighted areas the way the real test does: Basic Nursing Skills (35%: infection control, safety and emergencies, procedures like vital signs and range of motion, and observing and reporting), Activities of Daily Living (22%), Emotional and Mental Health Needs and Client Rights (8% each), Self-Care and Independence and Communication (7% each), Member of the Health Care Team (6%), Legal and Ethical Behavior (5%) and Spiritual and Cultural Needs (2%). Most are floor moments: which arm goes in the sleeve first, where the catheter bag hangs, what to do when a resident falls or refuses a bath, and what has to go to the nurse right now. Skills questions ask why each step matters, so the skills test makes sense too. Each question is tagged to its outline area, so your score report shows exactly where you miss, and every answer explains why the best choice is best and names its public source.
The real test: There is no single national CNA exam: each state runs its own nurse aide competency test, and many use the NNAAP, a written (or oral) exam plus a hands-on skills evaluation, both of which you must pass to get on the state nurse aide registry. The NNAAP written exam has 70 multiple-choice questions (60 scored, 10 unscored pretest) in 2 hours, in English or Spanish, and the result is pass or fail with no published percent. It follows a 2024 content outline of 9 weighted areas, led by basic nursing skills (35%) and activities of daily living (22%). Our practice test is full length, 60 scored questions plus 10 unscored, split by the 9 areas like the outline, passing at 70% (42 of 60).
Here: 500 questions. Our own practice questions, built on the NNAAP written exam content outline (2024) and written from public sources (42 CFR 483, CDC, OSHA, CMS, MedlinePlus, the National Institute on Aging, the American Heart Association), with every answer's source named. Topics are the 9 areas of the outline. Not the test makers' questions. Free.
