NBCOT, separately
Florida doesn't need NBCOT certification to renew your license: "maintenance of certification is not necessary for renewal" (board FAQ). NBCOT runs on its own 3-year cycle. Track it here only if you keep it.

How to renew
- Finish the hours. 22 general (at least 14 live, at most 12 home study), 2 medical errors and 2 laws and rules, plus HIV/AIDS at your first renewal. Find courses on CE Broker for OTs or OTAs.
- Check CE Broker. The Department checks your record at renewal; a free Basic account shows it (board CE page).
- Check your fingerprint retention (FL Health Source). If it runs out this cycle, renewal adds $43.25.
- Renew online at Florida Health Source (Renew A License), then Renew My License in the MQA Services Portal. It shows up no later than 90 days before expiration, about November 30, 2026.
- Pay $60 before midnight Eastern on February 28, 2027, then check the state license lookup.

If you miss midnight
- On March 1, 2027 an unrenewed license goes delinquent. Board: "Failure to renew an active or inactive license by the expiration date will result in the license being placed in delinquent status."
- Renewing it costs $115 ($175 after the 120-day notice), and you report CE for this cycle and the one before.
- If it is still not renewed by the end of the next cycle (February 28, 2029), it is null and void.
