PTCB CPhT, separately
Florida registers pharmacy technicians; it doesn't require PTCB (board FAQ). Your CPhT is a separate certification with its own date, fee and portal. Track it here only if you hold one.
Keep it safe
Everything here lives in this browser on this device. Nothing is sent to us or anyone else. Keep your certificates in case the board audits. Back it up before you switch phones or clear your browser.
How to renew
- Finish the hours. 18 general (ACPE or board-approved), 2 board-approved medication errors, and 4 of the 20 live. Add 2 immunization hours if you're certified. Find courses on CE Broker's Florida technician search.
- Check CE Broker. The board says you can't renew until your CE is reported. National (ACPE) providers leave that to you: self-report at CE Broker.
- Renew online at Florida Health Source (Renew A License), then Renew My License in the MQA Services Portal. It shows up no later than 90 days before expiration, so it should be there now.
- Pay $55 before midnight Eastern on December 31, 2026. By mail instead: print the summary and send a cashier's check or money order to MQA, P.O. Box 6320, Tallahassee, FL 32314-6320.
- Check the result on the state license lookup after 7 to 10 business days.
| Fee (board renewal page) | Active to active |
|---|---|
| Renew on time | $55 |
| After it expires (delinquent) | $80 |
| After the 120-day delinquency notice | $135 |
| Fingerprint retention, if due this cycle | $43.25 |
Inactive-to-active is $105 before expiration. All fees: the board's renewal page.
If you miss midnight
- On January 1, 2027 an unrenewed registration goes delinquent. Board: "Failure to renew an active or inactive license by the expiration date will result in the license being placed in delinquent status."
- Renewing a delinquent registration costs $80 ($135 after the 120-day notice), and you report CE for this cycle and the one before.
- If it is still not renewed by the end of the next cycle (December 31, 2028), it is null and void and can't be reactivated (rule 64B16-26.1021).
