How Florida CE reporting actually works
- The state only looks at CE Broker. Florida's Department of Health uses CE Broker as its CE tracking system. The board says not to mail it certificates.
- Providers usually report for you. Florida-approved providers send your completion to CE Broker. Out-of-state or national courses often don't, and that's where nurses get stuck at renewal.
- Missing a course? Self-report it. Sign in at CEBroker.com (the free account works) or go through your MQA Online Services account: Additional Activities, then Report CE/CME. This page writes the details out so it's a paste, not a hunt.
- The renewal opens 90 days before your license expires. Licenses expire at midnight Eastern on the expiration date.
- Keep your certificates. The board can audit. A photo saved with each course here means you're never digging through old emails.
Why this can't just sign in to CE Broker for you: CE Broker doesn't open nurses' accounts to outside apps, so the state record stays theirs. This keeps your own copy straight and makes fixing their copy a one-minute job.
