Search "NCE passing score" and you'll find a different number on every site. Here is what NBCC's own handbook says, and what changes when the new NCE starts in July 2027.
The pass mark changes slightly by version. Your score report shows your score and the score you needed.
Today's NCE has 200 questions: 160 scored and 40 unscored field-test items. Your raw score is the number of scored questions you got right, out of 160. NBCC sets the cut score with a modified Angoff study and then equates each version, so the cut can move up or down a little. NBCC doesn't publish one fixed number.

That sets the passing score. Then statistical equating ties the cut on each version to the same standard, "adjusting the passing score up or down" for that version's difficulty (NBCC candidate handbook). You aren't graded against the other people who tested that day.
