AEMT Practice Test: NREMT Advanced EMT Exam Questions, 2024 Test Plan

600 practice questions for the NREMT Advanced EMT exam (the test plan in use since July 2024) and the state AEMT exams built on it, across its six domains. A third of the bank is Clinical Judgment, the way a third of the real exam is: about 40 scenarios that unfold en route, on scene and after the call, each question tagged to its step of the clinical judgment cycle. The rest covers airway, cardiology and resuscitation, trauma, medical and OB, and operations at the AEMT scope: IV and IO access, fluids, dextrose, glucagon, IM epinephrine, nebulized albuterol, nitrous oxide, supraglottic airways, CPAP and capnography. Written to the national standards from the federal EMS education documents, with current doses checked against the NASEMSO model guidelines; each answer names its source. Built by an RN and former EMT. A study aid, not a protocol: follow your medical director.

The real test: A computer-adaptive exam of up to about 135 questions in 3 hours at a Pearson VUE test center, 35 of them unscored pilot items, with no published percent and no hands-on skills exam since July 2024. A third of it is Clinical Judgment: scenarios that run en route, on scene and after the call. Our practice test is 100 questions split by the exam's six domains, with whole scenarios drawn as a block.

Here: 600 questions. Our own practice questions, written from the AEMT-level material of the NHTSA Paramedic Instructional Guidelines (2009), the 2021 National EMS Education Standards and the 2019 National EMS Scope of Practice Model, all U.S. government works, with current doses checked against the NASEMSO National Model EMS Clinical Guidelines (v3, 2022) and CPR numbers from the AHA, stated as facts. Topics are the six content domains of the July 2024 NREMT AEMT test plan; a third of the bank is scenario sets for the Clinical Judgment domain. Not the National Registry's test questions. Free.
