What's my final multiple?
Your place on the advancement list comes from your final multiple: up to 200 points, and the exam is only 80 of them. Put in your dates and points to see where you stand before the exam, and what you'd need on the exam to make a cutoff.
Your Personnel Data Extract (PDE) in Direct Access shows the real numbers PPC will use. Check yours against this, and fix the PDE by its deadline if something's off. Nothing you type here leaves this phone.
Exam
? / 80Your raw score becomes a standard score against everyone who takes your exam, so you won't know this until your profile letter. Leave it empty to see what you'd need.
Performance
0 / 50Comes from the average of your in-grade evaluations, figured on PPC's spreadsheet. Copy the Performance Factor points from your PDE or last profile letter.
Time in service
0 / 201 point a year (.083 a full month) to the terminal eligibility date, full credit at 20 years.
Time in grade
0 / 102 points a year (.166 a full month) from your date of rank to the terminal eligibility date, full credit at 5 years.
Medals and awards
0 / 10Count only awards earned since your points start date (for most E-5 and up, your last advancement) through the eligibility date. Other services' good conduct awards don't count.
Sea, surf and incentive
0 / 30Full months since your points start date, through the eligibility date. Sea, surf and incentive points share one 30-point career cap.
Incentive points include: BM1 who passed a district OIC board, +1 toward BMC; and under the 2026 and 2027 beta, BM1s who pass the OIC board get 20 (ALCOAST 150/25). Company commander insignia, +1. Level 4 cutters, 0.5 per full year since 1 Oct 2022; Level 5, 0.5 per full six months; pre-commissioning and maintenance-period cutters, 0.5 per full three months. Reservists on a PSU tour, 1 after a year.
Cutoff to beat
Cutoffs are published per rate after each exam (look for the ALCGENL "SWE cutoffs" message, or ask your Rating Force Master Chief). They move every cycle, so last year's is only a guide.
Not official and not tied to the Coast Guard. PPC's own math (and rounding) decides; your PDE and profile letter are the record. Rules change by ALCOAST, so check the newest SWE message for your exam.
