• Playalinda Beach Canaveral National Seashore
  Wild dunes and no buildings, with the launch pads in sight up the beach. It is close enough that it closes for some launches. Launch days: the road past lot 1 shuts 30 minutes before liftoff and the lookouts close; some pad 39A launches close the whole beach. Park's launch page

• Jetty Park Port Canaveral
  Cruise ships pass close enough to wave at: in during the morning, out in the afternoon. The 1,200-foot pier is open to fish around the clock.

• Cocoa Beach Pier Cocoa Beach
  800 feet out over the Atlantic since 1962. It was the grandstand for Mercury, Apollo and shuttle launches.

  Space Shuttle Atlantis, and a bus out to one of the three Saturn V rockets left in the world.
