Whether you're studying for the Masters or the Clinical, you've seen a dozen different "passing scores" online. Here is what ASWB's own 2026 Examination Guidebook says.
There's no fixed percent. Your score report shows the number of questions you needed and the number you got right.
Every ASWB category (Associate, Bachelors, Masters, Advanced Generalist, Clinical) is 122 questions: 110 scored and 12 unscored pretest. The number of right answers needed to pass moves up or down slightly from one version of the exam to the next, so every form is equally hard. ASWB doesn't publish one number for everyone, so nobody else can tell you yours.

Take the free ASWB Masters practice test2026 outline, 110 scored + 12 unscored, no sign-upFrom the guidebook: questions differ slightly in difficulty and change between administrations, so ASWB makes statistical adjustments. Those adjustments cause "slight increases and decreases in the number of questions that must be answered correctly to pass each version." The ability you have to show stays the same. No one gets an easier or harder deal because of the version they drew.
The exams changed on August 3, 2026: new outlines, and 122 questions instead of 170. ASWB set the passing standard for the new exams with a new standard-setting panel. Numbers you see online for the old 150-scored-question exam don't carry over.

You see your result on the testing computer right after the exit survey. Your unofficial score report is on your ASWBCentral dashboard about 24 hours later. A failing report shows how many you got right out of the total in each content area. That's your study map. You can't review the exam itself.
