RBT exam passing score: how the BACB sets it

Here is how the Registered Behavior Technician exam is scored and retaken, from the BACB's RBT Handbook.

The short answer

Pass or fail. The BACB doesn't publish a percent or a number of right answers.

The exam is 85 questions, 75 scored and 10 unscored, in 90 minutes at a Pearson VUE test center. A panel of BACB-certified experts sets the passing score with the modified Angoff method, and the BACB board approves it. A new passing score is set when the content outline changes.
